Itinerary

Our Hospitality, the journey begins from Ahmedabad.

Arrive at Ahmedabad - India’s first World Heritage City. Ahmedabad, named after a Sultan who founded it in 1411 and known for its Indo-Saracenic architecture is graced with splendid monuments associated with Mahatma Gandhi, the apostle of peace and non-violence whose simple ashram on the banks of the river Sabarmati is now a site of national pilgrimage. Renowned as a great textile and commercial centre and as the Manchester of India, Ahmedabad is today the second largest prosperous and thriving city in western India.

Upon arrival Meet and greet by our representative. A formal introduction of the trip and will be followed by the check in at hotel.

We will visit Law Garden Market (Traditional Costume market) in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.

Today early morning after refreshment we will do morning tour on the wheels of Auto Rickshaw. Day would start with the visit of Jagannath Temple which means Supreme Lord dedicated to Hindu Lord Shree Krishna. We can witness the Hindu ritual of worship. In distance of 5 min drive we will visit City’s only wholesale flower market which bustles in trades between 4 AM to 8 AM, the walk forward towards the Saptrishi crematorium – Hindu cremation site where we can understand the Hindu cremation ritual (Not compulsory) based on Hindu Vedas performed for the salvation and sacred journey to heaven of the deceased. Leaving behind the local bustle we will visit Sabarmati Riverfront and will enjoy the cycling in peace.

Return to hotel and after breakfast we will visit the World-Famous Calico Textile Museum – it is considered to be one of the most beautiful textile museums in the world. In Calico Museum you can see remarkable collection of fabrics spanning varied and remote regions of India exemplifies handicrafts textiles across five centuries.

Drive to Gandhinagar to visit the artisan of Ashawal also known as Ashapalli – an elite art which primarily used by royalty and nobles. Ashavali sarees feature intricate brocade work known as kinkhwab, made using metallic gold and silver threads known as zariwork. This weaving technique in the conventional saree length and width was adapted from that originally used in narrow strips worn as patkas in royal courts, in turbans, in canopies of royal pavilions.

In the evening we will visit Gandhi Ashram which is on a quiet peaceful stretch of the Sabarmati River. This was his Satyagraha Ashram and for many years it was the nerve centre of India’s freedom movement. Hridaya Kunj, the simple cottage where he lived, is now a national monument and preserved as it was during the Mahatma’s life-time. Dinner and Overnight stay at hotel.

Today morning after refreshment and breakfast, we will visit Patan Ranki step well - One of the most magnificent structures in India, a UNESCO World Heritage Site has been considered as the Queen among the stepwells in India. The Stepwell was constructed by Queen Udayamati in memory of his husband Bhimadev I of the Solanki Dynasty. Constructed primarily for storing water for the locals, the stepwell was submerged with silt and sand due to the floods in the nearby Saraswati River in the 13th Century which was then excavated in 1960s by the ASI when they found more the 500 God sculptors in Pristine Condition.

We will visit Patola weaving art house/museum. Patola is particularly the double ikat Patola sarees, is a traditional craft that has been practiced in the town of Patan in Gujarat, India, for centuries. Patola sarees are known for their intricate designs and vibrant colors, and they are considered highly prized and luxurious.

Post Lunch proceed to Modhera Sun temple - a beautiful intricately carved temple constructed in 1026 and lies exactly on the Tropic of Cancer and has been constructed in such a way that the first rays of the Sun on the two equinoxes of the year fell exactly on the crown on the head of the deity’s idol in the Garbha Griha. The Crown was stolen and the temple was destroyed considerably during the invasion of Alauddin Khilji in the 12th Century.

Drive continued to Little ran of Kachchh. Check in at hotel.

Today early morning we will do Safari in Wild ass Sanctuary - probably the biggest wild ass sanctuary in India. It is the only place where Wild asses can walk around freely. The sanctuary also has Chinkara, Jackals, desert foxes, nilgais, Indian wolves and more than 75,000 bird nests. Salt production is another attraction to the visitors in Little rann of Kutch.

Post lunch we will go for a village safari which showcase the vibrant cultural tapestry woven by its inhabitants, particularly the famous Rabari and Banjara tribes (Nomadic) who are known for their exquisite embroidery, vibrant textiles, and intricate beadwork. We can witness the art and culture of these colourful people. Dinner and overnight stay at Resort in LRK.

Today morning after refreshment and breakfast, we will proceed to Bhuj enroute we will visit Dhamadka village which is famous for Block printing – the technique involves the use of wooden blocks to print intricate designs with vibrant colours, often featuring geometric patterns and motifs on the fabric. This often worn by some nomadic pastoralist and agricultural communities like Rabaris, Maldharis and Ahirs as turbans and lungis or stole showcases its deep-rooted connection to their way of life and traditions.

Check in at Bhuj hotel and after refreshment we will visit some monument sightseeing such as Prag Mahal (Palace)- reflecting an unmistakable Gothic architecture at first sight doesn't seem to blend in with other structures in the surroundings. Artisans and craftsmen were indentured from Italy especially to help in the construction of this structure. Labourers received gold coins as remuneration for offering their services and it is alleged that more than 3.1 million rupees were invested for building this mansion. The palace has been constructed out of two materials-red sandstone and Italian marble. The sandstone was procured from Rajasthan.

Evening followed the visit of Aina Mahal (Palace) - Built in 1761 the palace has fortified wall constructed out of marble and ornamented with gold lacings and glass beads. There are large Venetian glass panels plastered on the walls layered with gilded ornaments. The architecture of the Aina Mahal reflects a blend of Indo and European styles.

Today morning after refreshment and breakfast, day follows the visit of local village and artisans to have immersive experience, providing us the insights into traditional crafts and the way of life in rural areas. We will get the demonstration of Rogan Art - more than 400 years old and originated from Persia, king of oil painting where castor oil is used and draw the design on fabric with the help of small iron rods. Visit the artisans of Metal work who does several processes of metal work such as casting, imprint, hand beating, engraving, smelting and so on through which produces a piece of metal art. It has been believed that Gujarat is providing such metal craft since the Stone Age. We can also witness the Leather work which crafted into footwear, Bag- purse, Accessories etc. and beautiful wooden utensils, home decor Crafts from lacquer work. Evening followed by the mesmerizing sunset in White desert - 7500 km2 (2900 sq. miles) in area and is reputed to be one of the largest salt deserts in the world. Here you can also have the experience of camel ride and can also see the local tribes in their colourful attire and hand made crafts of the district. Dinner and Overnight stay at hotel.

Today morning after refreshment and breakfast, we will roam around the village which are proactive in the art of Mud work locally known as Lippan Kaam. They used to stick the mirrors along with mud packs on the inner walls of their houses to make them look beautiful and bright. This type of house locally known as Bhungas (madhouse). We can also participate in workshop of 300-year-old art “embroidery” – identified by the mirror, bead work and vibrant threads and often incorporates traditional motifs inspired by nature, folklore, and cultural symbols. These motifs vary and can include animals, birds, flowers, and more.

Post lunch drive to Mandvi and relax at the private beach of the Vijay Vilas Palace – the summer palace of the Kings of Kachchh.

Today morning after refreshment and breakfast, we will visit the artisans of Mashru/Mashroo weaving – a Unique interweaved pattern that has exterior of silk which are vibrant in colors and rich in appearance, while the inner side that comes into contact with the skin is made of cotton, offering comfort. This unique interweaved pattern allowed people to appear in the finest clothing of silk-like fabric. A tapestry of community collaboration and cultural heritage Mashroo weaving is a legacy in Gujarat. Journey forwards to Saurashtra region of Gujarat. Reach to Jamnagar – a city located near to coastal area overlooking to Arabian Sea.

Check in at hotel and after refreshment we will stroll around the local Market of Jamnagar which has vibrancy and variety of handicraft textile like Bandhni (Tie and dye), embroidery, jewellery, spices.

Today morning after refreshment and breakfast, we will visit the artisans to enchanted by the Jamnagar’s traditional Art known as Bandhni (tie and dye). They tie the fabrics and dye them with vibrant colors - Saree, Dupatta, Salwar suits, Dress Materials and lot more other apparel are found across the state of Gujarat that has Bandhni or tie and dye work.

After having the experience of wonderful craftsmanship our journey reach to Birth place of Mahatma Gandhi – Kirti Mandir. The three-storied haveli or mansion having a striking blue colour in which Mahatma Gandhi was born eventually turned into a shrine/memorial which symbolizes the harmonious integration of the world's six major religions namely Hinduism, Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Jainism, and Zoroastrianism.

In 3hrs drive we reach to Sasan Gir - the only abode of the Asiatic Lions in the world. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.

Today early morning we will do Gypsy safari in Sasan Gir National Park the home to the Asiatic Lion only found in Gir all around the Asian Continent. It is a completely protected area where the lions, Leopards, Nilgai, Antelopes, Striped hyena and many other varieties of Flora and fauna roams freely. Lion is the State Animal of Gujarat and meeting the King of the Jungle will be a great treat for the wildlife lovers visiting the state.

Post lunch we will have a tour of Gir village where we can see the local activities starting from jaggery making process to cattle herds in tranquil grace. Night followed by the cultural activity and Siddi Dhamal Dance, Siddi tribes is small tribe of sasan gir and has lineage of African origin.

Today morning after refreshment and breakfast, we will do Junagadh sightseeing such as Mahabat Khan Maqbara: The yellow mausoleum, Mahabat Maqbara, is a masterpiece of its kind with finely designed arches, vertical columns and elaborate stone carvings on the walls and windows. Its silver-decorated portals, the winding staircases encircling its four tall minarets, the old step-well in the grounds, and its onion-shaped dome contribute to its splendour.

Then we will visit Uperkot Fort: Uperkot is a remarkable fort situated in the middle of the town. It was originally built in 319 BC and was rediscovered in 976 AD. The fort was attacked a number of times. The citadel has a huge gate and it is enclosed within fort walls that are around 20 m high. One can also see the mammoth Jama Masjid inside the complex. Gondal.

Drive to Gondal with stay at the Royal Palace.

Today morning after refreshment, we will visit Navlakha Palace – The palace is a splendid example of architectural grandeur and craftsmanship with the blend of Indian and European architectural styles. It houses a remarkable collection of Vintage cars from the different eras.

Proceed to Rajkot and visit Khadi Plaza – a place where you find products made from khadi a hand spun and handwoven natural fibre cloth that holds cultural and historical significance in India.

Proceed to Vadodara. Check in at hotel and overnight stay.

As the sun begins its descent, casting a warm glow we will Embark on an evening stroll in the village while immersing ourself in the daily chores of the residents and wander towards the fields where the farmers might be wrapping up their day, completing the final tasks as the sky transforms into a canvas of warm tones. Proceed to Jambughoda - surrounded by the lush greenery, forests, and hills. Dinner and Overnight stay at Jambughoda.

Today morning we will explore the grand Laxmi Vilas Palace - the official residence of the Princely Gaikwads of Vadodara is one of the biggest residence palaces of the country, Constructed by Maharaja Sayajirao Gaikwad III in 1890 under the supervision of the chief Architect Major Charles Mant is 4 times bigger than the Buckingham Palace of England and a sum of GBP 1,80,000 were spent to build this super-imposing structure. The edifice even at the time of its construction in the late 19th century had facilities like elevator and resembles a European manor or country house. The royal descendants of the Gaekwad dynasty still use the premises as their private residence. Post lunch return back to India’s first world heritage city Ahmedabad.
