Itinerary

Welcome to Ahmedabad, India's first World Heritage City! Upon your arrival, our representative will be there to meet and greet you. You'll receive a warm welcome and a formal introduction to your trip. After the initial formalities, we'll proceed with the check-in process at the hotel.

Ahmedabad, named after a Sultan who founded it in 1411, is a city with a rich history and stunning Indo-Saracenic architecture. The city is famous for its association with Mahatma Gandhi, the apostle of peace and non-violence. The sightseeing of Ahmedabad will start from visiting Gandhi Ashram. Once the nerve center of India's freedom movement, this Satyagraha Ashram witnessed the historic Dandi March in 1930, led by Mahatma Gandhi to protest against the British-imposed Salt Tax. Hridaya Kunj, Gandhi's simple living quarters, stands as a national monument, preserved in its original state.

Afterwards we will visit Adalaj Stepwell which represents the represents the Indo-Islamic fusion architecture There are some fascinating features of the vav that make this an important emblem of superior architecture. The opening in the ceilings above the landing allows light and air to enter the octagonal well, but direct sunlight never touches the steps except at noon. It is said that the temperature inside the well is six degrees cooler than outside.

Today early morning after refreshment, day begins with a heritage walk in Ahmedabad which starts from visiting Swaminarayan temple to Jama Masjid, while walking through hundreds of Pols in the World’s first Heritage City of India. Also visit the Sidi Saiyyed Mosque known for its stone carved Jalis – unofficially considered to be the identity of Ahmedabad.

Later after breakfast in hotel we will depart for Bhuj.

After the check-in, you'll have the rest of the day to relax and acclimate to the surroundings. Overnight stay will be at the hotel, ensuring you're well-rested for the exciting journey ahead.

 

 

Today morning after breakfast unfold the architecture of Aina mahal and Prag mahal of Bhuj. 19th-century Prag Mahal is in a forlorn state, damaged by an earthquake, but is worth visiting for its grand Durbar Hall, with its glittering chandeliers, the Maharajah’s taxidermied collection and gold-skirted classical statues. Several scenes from Lagaan, the much-acclaimed Bollywood cricket blockbuster, were filmed here.

The 18th-century elaborately mirrored interior is a demonstration of the fascination with all things European – an inverted mirror of European Orientalism – with blue-and-white Delphi-style tiling, a candelabra with Venetian-glass shades, and the Harding lithograph series The Rake’s Progress.

Continue the sightseeing to Chhatardi Bhuj. This architectural gem is intricately carved pillars and ornate facades which narrate tales of the region's rich heritage. Step into the past as you wander through its corridors, soaking in the essence of Kutch's traditions and history. A visit to Chhatardi Bhuj promises an unforgettable experience, where every corner unveils a new chapter in the story of India's cultural tapestry.

After a refreshing morning meal, our journey unfolds towards Mandvi. Upon checking into the hotel and a quick refreshment break, we venture to explore the grandeur of Vijay Vilas Palace. As the day progresses, find tranquility at the private beach of the palace - an exclusive retreat reminiscent of the summer abode of the Kings of Kutch. Today morning after breakfast we will depart for Wankaner. A hidden gem in the heart of Gujarat, where regal palaces and scenic vistas converge to create an enchanting experience. Discover the grandeur of Wankaner's royal heritage as you wander through its majestic palaces adorned with intricate architecture and opulent décor.

Upon arrival Indulge in a luxurious retreat at Royal Oasis, a heritage hotel offering a blend of modern amenities and regal hospitality. Immerse yourself in the old-world charm of Wankaner while relishing the comforts of contemporary living amidst palatial surroundings.

After a refreshing morning meal, we will depart for Junagadh. Enroute we will explore The Naulakha Palace in Gondal which  was erected around 1748 AD in the Darbargadh or walled palace complex of the rulers, and since then has been extended by successive rulers. The façade is a festival of stone carving with splendid sculpture, relief, carved columns and ornate jarokha balconies.

Continue the tour to Vintage Car museum. As you wander through the museum's halls, you'll encounter an eclectic mix of cars, each with its own unique story to tell. Whether it's the sleek curves of a vintage sports car or the stately elegance of a luxury sedan, every vehicle exudes a timeless charm that captivates the imagination.

After a day filled with exploration and discovery, we will proceed to check in to our hotel in Junagadh. As the evening sets in, we will indulge in a delectable dinner, savoring the flavors of the region. Enjoy a peaceful overnight stay in the hotel.

 

Today early morning delve into the heart of Junagadh's spirituality with a visit to Girnar Hill, a sacred pilgrimage site. Embark on a journey of enlightenment as you ascend the 10,000 steps leading to the summit(upto 5000 steps cable car is allowed), where you'll encounter ancient temples, caves, and breathtaking vistas. Take in the serene atmosphere and soak in the spiritual energy of this revered site before descending back to the city. 

Afterwards visit The yellow mausoleum, Mahabat Maqbara, which is a masterpiece of its kind with finely designed arches, vertical columns and elaborate stone carvings on the walls and windows. Its silver-decorated portals, the winding staircases encircling its four tall minarets, the old step-well in the grounds, and its onion-shaped dome contribute to its splendour.

Following our time in Junagadh, our journey continues as we head towards Palitana. Upon arrival, check in to our hotel and then treat ourselves to a delightful dinner, savoring the local flavors.

Palitana is renowned for its spiritual significance and breathtaking architecture. It is home to the famed Shatrunjaya Hill, one of Jainism's holiest pilgrimage sites, adorned with over 900 temples dating back many centuries. These magnificent marble temples, intricately carved and perched atop the hill, create a mesmerizing sight against the backdrop of the Aravalli Range. The climb up the hill, undertaken with reverence by pilgrims and visitors alike, offers not only a physical journey but a spiritual one as well.

In Palitana, immerse yourself in a world where heritage and architecture converge, inviting you on a journey of enlightenment and wonder.

Palitana also boasts of vibrant bazaars, where one can immerse in the local culture, indulge in traditional Gujarati cuisine, and shop for souvenirs and handicrafts.

Today morning after breakfast embark on a journey to Vadodara, making a captivating stop enroute at Lothal, an ancient city of the Indus Valley Civilization. Explore the archaeological ruins, including a well-planned dockyard, indicating Lothal's significance as a thriving trade center over 4,000 years ago. Upon arrival in Vadodara, delve into the opulent heritage of the city with a visit to Laxmi Vilas Palace. This architectural masterpiece, built in the Indo-Saracenic style, boasts ornate interiors, expansive courtyards, and an impressive collection of artwork. Conclude the day with a delightful dinner and unwind in the comfort of your hotel, soaking in the regal ambiance of Vadodara.

 

Today morning after a refreshing breakfast your adventure continues to Kevadia, where you'll encounter the awe-inspiring Statue of Unity, the world's tallest statue. Soaring at a height of 182 meters, this monumental tribute is dedicated to the esteemed freedom fighter and the first Home Minister of Independent India, Bharat Ratna Shri Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The statue commands attention as it overlooks the majestic Sardar Sarovar Dam, serving as a symbol of unity. Shri Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, often referred to as the 'Iron Man' of India, played a crucial role in unifying 562 princely states, laying the foundation for the creation of a united India.

Today morning after breakfast explore A UNESCO Heritage site, Champaner and Pavagadh which are often clubbed together as one of the most engaging historical attractions of Gujarat. Pavagadh stands on top of the hill that looks over the sprawl of monuments at the base in Champaner. The duo makes a rich heritage site dotted with forts, mosques, monuments, tombs, arches, temples, step-wells and fortresses from 8th to 14th century. Today, throngs of pilgrims ascend Pavagadh to worship at the important Kalikamata Temple, dedicated to the goddess Kali, who sits atop the summit. Champaner is the only unchanged Islamic-Mughal city over the centuries, offering an authentic flavor of architecture of the era.

Later, we'll depart for Poshina, a picturesque village nestled amidst the Aravalli Range in Gujarat. Upon arrival, we'll check in to our hotel, immersing ourselves in the tranquil surroundings. As the day transitions into evening, we'll indulge in a delicious dinner. Overnight stay in the hotel.
 

Today is a day to unwind and immerse ourselves in the beauty of our surroundings Darbargadh Poshina. A Heritage Home set in the tribal lands of the Arravallis. In this ancestral fort, one can explore the Adivasi and Garasia tribal culture of North Gujarat and South Rajasthan, can enjoy fresh home cooked meals, featuring recipes passed on from generation to generation, and indulge in the hospitality of a family that ruled Poshina for eight generations before independence.
