Itinerary

Welcome to Ahmedabad, India's first World Heritage City! Upon your arrival, our representative will be there to meet and greet you. You'll receive a warm welcome and a formal introduction to your trip. After the initial formalities, we'll proceed with the check-in process at the hotel.

Ahmedabad, named after a Sultan who founded it in 1411, is a city with a rich history and stunning Indo-Saracenic architecture. The city is famous for its association with Mahatma Gandhi, the apostle of peace and non-violence. His simple ashram on the banks of the Sabarmati River has become a site of national pilgrimage.

Apart from its historical significance, Ahmedabad is renowned as a major textile and commercial centre, often referred to as the Manchester of India. Today, it stands as the second-largest prosperous and thriving city in western India. 

After the check-in, you'll have the rest of the day to relax and acclimate to the surroundings. You may choose to explore the local markets, indulge in some authentic cuisine, or simply unwind at the hotel. Overnight stay will be at the hotel, ensuring you're well-rested for the exciting journey ahead.

 

 

Embark on a unique morning journey as we explore Ahmedabad on the wheels of an Auto Rickshaw. Our day begins with the sacred Jagannath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shree Krishna, where we can witness Hindu rituals. A short drive takes us to the vibrant wholesale flower market, bustling with trade from 4 AM to 8 AM. Moving forward, we visit the Saptrishi crematorium, gaining insights into Hindu cremation rituals based on Hindu Vedas performed for the salvation and sacred journey to heaven of the deceased. Leaving the local bustle behind, we cycle along the serene Sabarmati Riverfront.

The journey continues with an enriching Ahmedabad City Tour, highlighting the revered Gandhi Ashram along the peaceful stretch of the Sabarmati River. Once the nerve center of India's freedom movement, this Satyagraha Ashram witnessed the historic Dandi March in 1930, led by Mahatma Gandhi to protest against the British-imposed Salt Tax. Hridaya Kunj, Gandhi's simple living quarters, stands as a national monument, preserved in its original state.

In the evening you may choose to explore the local markets or can leisurely stroll along the promenade, enjoying the scenic views, or perhaps engaging in activities like boat rides, cycling at optional.

Today early morning after refreshment, day being with heritage walk which starts from a Swaminarayan temple to Jama Masjid while walking through hundreds of Pols in the first World Heritage City of India. Visit the Sidi Saiyed Mosque known for its stone carved Jalis – unofficially considered to be the identity of Ahmedabad. After breakfast, we will visit Patan Ranki step well - One of the most magnificent structures in India, a UNESCO World Heritage Site has been considered as the Queen among the stepwells in India. The Stepwell was constructed by Queen Udayamati in memory of his husband Bhimadev I of the Solanki Dynasty.  Constructed primarily for storing water for the locals, the stepwell was submerged with silt and sand due to the floods in the nearby Saraswati River in the 13th Century which was then excavated in 1960s by the ASI when they found more the 500 God sculptors in Pristine Condition.

We will visit Patola weaving art house/museum. Patola is particularly the double ikat Patola sarees, is a traditional craft that has been practiced in the town of Patan in Gujarat, India, for centuries. Patola sarees are known for their intricate designs and vibrant colors, and they are considered highly prized and luxurious.

Post Lunch proceed to Modhera Sun temple - a beautiful intricately carved temple constructed in 1026 and lies exactly on the Tropic of Cancer and has been constructed in such a way that the first rays of the Sun on the two equinoxes of the year fell exactly on the crown on the head of the deity’s idol in the Garbha Griha. The Crown was stolen and the temple was destroyed considerably during the invasion of Alauddin Khilji in the 12th Century. Drive continued to Little rann of Kutch. Today early morning we will do Safari in Wild ass Sanctuary - probably the biggest wild ass sanctuary in India. It is the only place where Wild asses can walk around freely. The sanctuary also has Chinkara, Jackals, desert foxes, nilgais, Indian wolves and more than 75,000 bird nests. Salt production is another attraction to the visitors in Little Rann of Kutch.

Later we will proceed to Bhuj enroute we will visit Dhamadka village which is famous for Block printing – the technique involves the use of wooden blocks to print intricate designs with vibrant colours, often featuring geometric patterns and motifs on the fabric. This often worn by some nomadic pastoralist and agricultural communities like Rabaris, Maldharis and Ahirs as turbans and lungis or stole showcases its deep-rooted connection to their way of life and traditions.

Today morning after refreshment and breakfast, day follows the visit of local village and artisans to have immersive experience, providing us the insights into traditional crafts and the way of life in rural areas. We will get the demonstration of Rogan Art - more than 400 years old and originated from Persia, king of oil painting where castor oil is used and draw the design on fabric with the help of small iron rods. Visit the artisans of Metal work who does several processes of metal work such as casting, imprint, hand beating, engraving, smelting and so on through which produces a piece of metal art. It has been believed that Gujarat is providing such metal craft since the Stone Age. We can also witness the Leather work which crafted into footwear, Bag- purse, Accessories etc. and beautiful wooden utensils, home decor Crafts from lacquer work. 

Evening followed by the mesmerizing sunset in White desert - 7500 km2 (2900 sq. miles) in area and is reputed to be one of the largest salt deserts in the world. Here you can also have the experience of camel ride and can also see the local tribes in their colourful attire and hand made crafts of the district.

After a refreshing morning meal, our journey unfolds towards Mandvi. Upon checking into the hotel and a quick refreshment break, we venture to explore the grandeur of Vijay Vilas Palace. This historical palace, nestled on the seafront of Mandvi, offers a glimpse into the regal past of the region. Admire the intricate architecture and soak in the historical charm of this magnificent palace.

As the day progresses, find tranquility at the private beach of the palace - an exclusive retreat reminiscent of the summer abode of the Kings of Kutch. Let the evening unfold in relaxation, surrounded by the beauty and serenity that the palace and its beach offer, creating a perfect blend of history and leisure.

 

Today Early In the morning after refreshing breakfast we will continue our journey towards Junagadh.

Check in at the hotel and in the later afternoon after some rest and refreshment we will visit Mahabat Khan Maqbara: The yellow mausoleum, Mahabat Maqbara, is a masterpiece of its kind with finely designed arches, vertical columns and elaborate stone carvings on the walls and windows. Its silver-decorated portals, the winding staircases encircling its four tall minarets, the old step-well in the grounds, and its onion-shaped dome contribute to its splendour.

Today early morning delve into the heart of Junagadh's spirituality with a visit to Girnar Hill, a sacred pilgrimage site. Embark on a journey of enlightenment as you ascend the 10,000 steps leading to the summit(upto 5000 steps cable car is allowed), where you'll encounter ancient temples, caves, and breathtaking vistas. Take in the serene atmosphere and soak in the spiritual energy of this revered site before descending back to the city. In the afternoon, you'll explore the ancient Uparkot Fort, which offers panoramic views of Junagadh and its surrounding landscape.

Post Lunch proceed for Sasan Gir – a home to the majestic Asiatic Lion – a regal species exclusive to this region and symbolic as the state animal of Gujarat.

Embarking on an early morning adventure, we delve into the heart of Sasan Gir National Park. The Gypsy safari offers a rare opportunity to witness these lions in their natural habitat, alongside other inhabitants such as leopards, nilgai, antelopes, striped hyenas, and a rich variety of flora and fauna. For wildlife enthusiasts, encountering the King of the Jungle in this protected haven is a true delight.

Later after having breakfast we will depart for Vadodara. Check in at the hotel upon arrival in Vadodara.

Today morning after a refreshing breakfast your adventure continues to Kevadia, where you'll encounter the awe-inspiring Statue of Unity, the world's tallest statue. Soaring at a height of 182 meters, this monumental tribute is dedicated to the esteemed freedom fighter and the first Home Minister of Independent India, Bharat Ratna Shri Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The statue commands attention as it overlooks the majestic Sardar Sarovar Dam, serving as a symbol of unity. Shri Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, often referred to as the 'Iron Man' of India, played a crucial role in unifying 562 princely states, laying the foundation for the creation of a united India.

Evening witness a beautiful laser show on the statue.

Conclude the day, as we depart for Ahmedabad. Check in at the hotel and dinner and overnight stay.
